     伯明翰附近的一家野生动物中心的全体职员已被他们的新居民的表现深深震惊了。当那只稀有的长冠八哥第一次来到这家中心时，没人注意到它有大量丰富的、与粗话有关的词汇。

    当他们意识到那只鸟儿做了什么决定的时候，鸟笼里的其他鸟儿也开始诅咒了。

    有个职工已经把他的时间花在教鸟儿们懂礼貌上了。到这个周末，他和它们打交道已经六周了。但是，尽管他的努力成功，效果还是不明显。

    时间很短，因为这家中心要马上接待一组年轻的学生。主管很失望。“这不只是代价啊！”他抱怨道。“它的父母们怎么样？”“我应当尽力去做，”这位职工告诉他，“但这不容易。这些鸟儿们都不听。每次我说什么，那只灰色的鹦鹉就‘住口，住口’地叫开了。其他鸟儿的话也太震惊了！这听起来像那儿的建筑工地一样！”

The stuff at a wildlife centre near Birmingham have been deeply shocked at the behavior of their newest resident. When the rare Bali Myna bird first arrived at the centre, nobody noticed that it had a rich and varied vocabulary of the rude words.

By the time they realised what the bird was up to, all the other birds in the aviary had begun swearing too.

An actor has been employed to teach the birds to be polite. By the end of this week, he will have been working with them for six weeks, but it is still not clear whether his efforts will be successful.

Time is short, because the centre will be receiving visits from parties of young schoolchildren soon. The Director is terribly upset. "It's not just the cost! " he exclaimed, "What about the parents? " "I shall do my best, " the actor told him, "but it isn't easy. The birds don't listen. Every time I say anything, the grey parrot shouts, ‘Shut up, shut up! ’And the language of the other birds is really shocking! It's sounds like a building site in there! "
